The F-250 and F-350 share cabs and engines. Towing and payload set them apart. A single-rear-wheel F-350 is easier to park and maneuver. A dual-rear-wheel F-350 adds a second tire on each side of the rear axle for stability under heavy fifth-wheel and gooseneck loads. Ford rates the Super Duty for best-in-class payload. Peak ratings require specific engine, axle, cab, and hitch setups.

On 2026 models, the standard 6.7L Power Stroke makes 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft, while the High Output version makes 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft. For 2027, the High Output Power Stroke is the only diesel.
